What can I expect at an in-person Reiki session?*
Reiki promotes a deep sense of relaxation. It is within this relaxed
state that the body is best able to heal. It is also a wonderful
time for the mind to unwind. We will begin with a brief interview
and a client intake form. This helps me make the best use of our
time. Rest assured, your confidentiality is maintained at all times.
An in-person Reiki session takes place on a massage table while you
are fully clothed. An established pattern of hand placements on the
body are followed. You will be informed of this pattern prior to the
session. If you are uncomfortable lying down or with the hand
placements on the body, accommodations are easily made without
affecting treatment results. The priority is to make you
comfortable. This is where the restoration can begin.
What can I expect at a Distance/Absentee Reiki appointment?*
A Reiki session can be provided at a distance. That means that I can
be in one place and the receiver can be in another. Distance Reiki
(also known as Absentee Reiki) is just as effective as an in-person
treatment. The person receiving the energy can be working, sleeping,
or relaxing - it does not matter. However, I prefer that the client
takes time to relax because often they can feel the energy transfer
as if they were having a hands-on treatment!
If your choice is a distance appointment, we will begin by meeting
via email, text, or phone (your preference). During this time we
will discover your needs and what you hope to receive from Reiki. We
will set up an appointment tailored to you, and have a check-in
following your appointment to let you know what I felt and to answer
any questions.
Distance Reiki is a great way to support a friend or family member
who is in the hospital or otherwise immobile. Permission from the
individual receiving Reiki is always required unless it is an
emergency. No distance is too great. I have clients in many states
across the U.S. and internationally as well. I have been doing these
treatments for many years and to this day it still leaves me a bit
awestruck.
Reiki for Groups and Businesses*
Any group, no matter how large or small, can receive Reiki as long
as there is a commonality. The more the members of the group have in
common, the stronger the Reiki. The process is called Reiki Group
Stacking. It can be as simple as supporting a small group project or
sending Reiki to a global crisis. Businesses and other endeavors can
also be the benefactor of Reiki.
